Recruitment Update

Women's Formal Recruitment was a huge success this year! More than 470 women participated which was an increase of 120 from the previous year. In addition, quota was ten higher than in 2007. A huge thank you to the CPC VP's of Recruitment, Mallory Engelen and Danielle Peterson, who did a great job during the summer to ensure such high numbers! In addition, an Informal Recruitment Open House is planned for Saturday, September 20. This will be similar to 13 Party Day and will be available to chapters who still have membership opportunities available.

Men's Summer Recruitment brought in around the same number of new members from the previous two years. Additional thanks goes to Ben Power and Mark Zikra for their work with prospective members and chapters during the summer months!

Recruitment to our community is a year-round process, so we encourage chapter members to always be looking for other students who might enjoy the Greek experience and who would add to our Greek community.

A Musical Performance with Rev. Billy and the
Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir
Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 8:00 PM @ Great Hall, Memorial Union
Reverend Billy and his gospel choir inform and entertain with a blend of street theater, political grandstanding, and performance art. Reverend Billy, using the persona of revivalist street preacher, and his choir spread a message of the corrupting power of consumerism, the need for refusing products produced in sweatshops, and a message of economic justice and environmental protection. They also exhort consumers to hold corporations and mass media accountable for responsible, ethical business practices. Activist groups and student organizations will have tables with sign-up sheets, information and displays before and after the performance.
